About me
I am Hui. I am a Chinese woman living and working in Europe for over 20 years. I consider myself an international person and am very interested in intercultural communication. I like to meet people who are open and interested in other cultures. People who seem ordinary but have unusual stories and who appreciate the little things in life.
I’m passionate about art and philosophy. From a young age, I immersed myself in traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy and was praised for my talent. However, I moved away from this passion to pursue a career in business, as my parents wished.
Despite professional success and a fulfilling marriage, I found myself longing for something more. It was then that I rediscovered my love for art, particularly portrait painting. There’s something about the human face that draws me in and ignites a new passion in me.
My interest in philosophy, particularly the themes of love, relationships and humanity, further fuels my creative journey. I’ve also delved into psychology, recognising the intricate connection between philosophy and the human psyche. Ultimately, my primary fascination is with people – their stories, their complexities and their unique perspectives on life.
